Endorsements

High Altitude Endorsement

Flying pressurized planes is not hard but it does require you to know more than your average pilot.  A firm grasp of physiology is critical and you must understand hazards associated with high altitude flight.  There is more to high altitude flying than just understanding the pressurization system!

Regardless of whether you choose us or a competitor, we strongly advise our clients to experience hypoxia firsthand.  We are lucky to be only 10 miles from the Arizona State University high altitude chambers and encourage you to take their one day training course.

Both our instructors spent years as ASU altitude chamber operators and inside safety observers and have seen up close just about every symptom of hypoxia a person can have, including oxygen paradox.

Price: $300 ($0 as part of a mentorship or transition program)

High Performance Endorsement

You can hire almost any CFI to sign off a high performance endorsement.  There is surprisingly little material that the FAA requires you to know to earn this endorsement and the depth and accuracy of your training depends almost entirely on the instructor you choose.  Pick a good one.

Price: $250

Complex Endorsement

Graduating from trainers typically means bigger engines and retractable gear.  Developing a good routine is critical when flying complex aircraft.  A high workload environment can stress even the most experienced pilots and lead to, among other things, an inadvertent gear up landing!

Price $250

(Complex + High Performance concurrently: $350)
